Another sign that the Xperia Play should be here sometime in spring 2011

We don't really need yet another piece of evidence pointing to the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play (or PSP Phone, or Playstation Phone) being announced and released in the coming months -- so here's another piece of evidence of the Sony Sony Ericsson Xperia Play (or PSP Phone, or Playstation Phone) being announced and released in the coming months. The new one comes via Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun, which writes that it's expected in spring 2011 in North America and Europe. And have we mentioned we fully expect to see the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play (or PSP Phone, or Playstation Phone) to be announced sometime in the coming months? OK. Just so we all have that straight. • Wonder which carrier(s) will get it?
  • I DO look forward this phone, but still, there is no evidence whether this will play real PSP games you can download from PSN...
  • A dedicated gaming phone is too restricted. The lifecycles of phones are shorter than gaming devices which is why the software is what they need to focus on. Push the software over to millions of Android handsets rather than 1 phone.
  • So this is a froyo phone now right? Definitely doesn't look like gingerbread
  • If the bottom middle portion is some kind of capacitative analog stick contraption, then I'll care. If it's just digital controls, I already have an epic and I can get a game gripper if i want limited digital controls on a cell phone for gaming. Come on Sony, DO SOMETHING.
