Oh yea,

Better call the pilot and head to the airport to hop on the Lear Jet and pickup that fondle slab in time to see Ye No's "exclusive performance". NOT. LOL... There must not be any comments as I write this because everyone is on their way to Union Square...

Wish I was in New York City right about now.

I wish I was almost anywhere but where I am right now.

Free case!!!! Don't care for Ne-Yo though...

Would totally miss work for this if I didn't already buy my Asus Transformer!

Rdenise76 says:

Yay! They finally posted more info on the Samsung site.
This link is for the Samsung Galaxy Tab™ 10.1 (Wi-Fi Only) – 32GB Metallic Gray. But it's also in 32GB White, 16GB Metallic, and 16 GB White.

I still don’t understand the exclusivity of the Galaxy Tab’s launch. Why did they decide that on the official release day to only release it to one Best Buy rather than all of them, and then offer it 9 days later nationwide. Is it because of limited quantities or something?

maybe limited quantities

more likely a marketing technique. To promote android tablets, specifically their tablets. Any news coverage of the event would show their tablets as being in high demand, with lines similar to those during apple releases.

Rdenise76 says:

You can pre-order today on BestBuy's site. I got an email this morning. They have the Wifi 10.1 in 16/32GB Metallic and 16/32GB White.

i live in NY, but I own the Acer iconia tab. I can still return it though. Besides street cred and thinness, what are the advantages of the 10.1 (Note, manufacturer is not an advantage for me)? My Acer has hdmi, an SD card slot, full size USB port, and near identical internals to the samsung tab. Is there anything im missing that makes the samsung stand out? I still have a little over a week on my return period, although im LOVING the Acer so far. Thanks!

optimus says:

Same here, I live in NY as well.. I can still return my Asus eee pad Transformer, but what benefits besides thinness does the Galaxy 10.1 offer for me...??

eric6052 says:

Its all about the thinness and being lighter. The USB port and SD card slot missing both put me off of the Galaxy Tab 10.1. That being said if I did want one I would try to get one with the free case because you're probably going to buy a case anyway.

luke31 says:

I actually like the heft of my Acer, and the lack of ports and slots definitely throws me off. I guess that's the sacrifice for thinness. I'll definitely stick with the Iconia.

needsdcard says:

No SD card?! That's it for me, the whole reason why I'm interested in the Galaxy Tab is because of a SD card slot. So If it isn't there, I'll definitly go with the Asus Eee Pad Transformer. Bye Bye Samsung.
