There have been quite a few people waiting for the Motorola Triumph to launch on Virgin Mobile since it was announced back in June. And it's finally available for purchase across major retailers for $299. The Motorola Triumph will be the first smartphone available on the new Virgin Mobile Beyond Talk plans that start at $35 for 300 anytime minutes and unlimited data and end at $55 for unlimited anytime minutes and unlimited data.

Consumers TRIUMPH over Costly Data Plans with New Smartphone from Virgin Mobile USA and Motorola

(BUSINESS WIRE), July 20, 2011 - Virgin Mobile USA continues to expand its Android™-powered smartphone lineup with the introduction today of Motorola TRIUMPH™, providing a new top-of-the-line smartphone option with the added flexibility of a no-contract plan. TRIUMPH, Motorola’s first smartphone available exclusively to Virgin Mobile USA customers, is available at national major retailers and online at www.virginmobileusa.com for $299.99.

Motorola TRIUMPH allows users to rev up their smartphone experience with a superfast 1GHz processor, 4.1-inch touchscreen, 5MP camera and, front-facing VGA camera for video chat, 720p HD camcorder with HDMI output, to allow for playback on HDTVs (requires HDMI cable sold separately).

Motorola TRIUMPH also is the first handset to come preloaded with the Virgin Mobile Live 2.0 social networking music application used to access the Virgin Mobile branded music stream, hosted by DJ Abbey Braden. The app also provides users of Android-powered devices free access to live music performance videos and "check in" features at special events. All status updates made using the app will also sync with Facebook and Twitter.

Same here. I'm cancelling my $90+/mth plan and am now locked into the $40/mth plan. I picked up the Triumph 2 days ago. Nice phone. Now I hope CM7 will be flashed to the ROM. http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/25866-motorola-triumph/

Tempting, but I think I'll stick with my $64 Sprint plan for now (23% student discount). I think smaller carriers and regional carriers are gonna start seeing a big jump in business if/when the AT&T&T buyout goes thru, T-Mobile has already started closing some mall kiosks around here... (tho no full size stores have closed, that I've seen)
