The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 might just get an update to Android 2.2. According to CNET Asia, a SE spokesman said that the Xperia X10 will get updated to the "Eclair variant" of Android so "it could be 2.1 or even 2.2" by the end of the year. That'd be amazing news for any other device but for the Xperia X10, a device that still has no firm US launch date, pricing, or carrier, well, who really knows what that means. The end of the year is such a long time that we're sure SE will find a way to stretch that timeframe for all it's worth. By that time, we might already be on Android 3.2.

Oh Sony Ericsson, let's just start at getting the device out first?

I will be ordering the xperiax10 on launch day in the UK ( 29/March ) and cant wait. I didn't know wether to get the xperia or the HTC desire but with sony announcing they will be upgrading to an eclair variant they got my money.

I've heard that Rogers Wireless will be getting it soon. Its been advertising on their websit for 3 months now. Its kinda getting old. Especially since Samsung just dropped the Galaxy Spica hust out of the blue.

at this point just about all the devices have been officially told they are going to android 2.xx.

This is like the white wale of android devices. we keep seeing it but can never catch it!! LOL

Need to know if
multitouch limitation of the equipment is hardware or software.
"The spokesman of Sony Ericsson said that the terminal in question is not
multitouch have the power due to hardware failure, a
this point very clearly negative. " is true?
