We're live in Barcelona, Spain for Mobile World Congress. Stay tuned to this very page for all the news we're covering here at the event, from Android to ... something that starts with Z but is also related to Android. That's how we do.

We're here the 13th through the 16th and running like crazy in a timezone that's conveniently many hours ahead of the US, so there's a better than even chance you'll wake up to fresh new announcements for the rest of the week. Peachy, innit?

Samsung Galaxy S2, 10 inch tablet

Images of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S 2 and Samsung's 10.1 inch Honeycomb tablet (Tab 2?) have surfaced on Samsung Hub.  According to them, Samsung has officially confirmed both devices.  Samsung hasn't issued any type of formal statement, but I would say three attractive young ladies holding them for the camera is confirmation.

The specs according to Samsung Hub match up with what was leaked to them earlier, which isn't a bad thing at all.  The Galaxy S 2 will be a Gingerbread toting, dual-core, 4.3 inch bundle of Super AMOLED goodness, the tablet will run Honeycomb at 10.1 inches, have an 8 MP shooter and record and playback video in HD.  I'm sure we'll get the official announcement from Samsung soonish, stay tuned for coverage from Barcelona.

The source link has a few more pictures, have a look.  [Samsung Hub] Thanks Dell P!

 Androids!

Some interesting photos of the Android stand at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona have appeared via tweets from BBC Click. The Click team apparently managed to sneak backstage and grab some shots of the stand itself and an invading army of Android mascots, some of which were still in the process of being assembled.

We'll be at MWC 2011 all week, so stay tuned for continual coverage of the bevy of new Android phones and tablets that are sure to emerge. Join us after the jump for more backstage photos. [BBCClick on Twitter]

LG Revolution

Verizon wireless announced today that they have completed the first ever voice call over LTE, using a pair of Android powered LG Revolution smartphones.  Rumors have been flying about the phone launching with voice and data over LTE, but we can stop those right now -- Verizon will be using 2011 to optimize the process, and "commercial services" will become available in 2012.

While on test calls, simultaneous voice and data was tested with online chat, web browsing, and using the Android Market. There will be further demos at Mobile World Congress, and we'll be sure to have a look.

From all reports, this looks like a very successful test and things are pushing forward -- with Android leading the way.  Read the full press release after the break. [Verizon]

HTC at Mobile World Congress

If you've wandered by HTC's Facebook page (or Twitter feed) recently, you've likely stumbled across the teaser you see above. No, it's not for the Thunderbolt. (Or the Merge. Quit asking!) But the "big things" line certainly makes us wonder if it's going to be tablet time in Barcelona one week from today. We'll be there to find out, of course.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Play

Who dares interrupt our Super Bowl commercials with a smartphone announcement? Sony Ericsson, of course, which acknowledged the Xperia Play on Facebook while teasing it at the Feb. 13 event in Barcelona ahead of Mobile World Congress. We'll be there, of course, to get the full scoop. And now, back to the game. [Facebook]

Sony Ericsson Neo

Attention fans of sexy, unreleased hardware -- there's another unofficial hands-on of the Sony Ericsson Neo.  This time its from My Android Life, and there's some beautiful images of the phone itself there for your viewing pleasure.  Just like the Xperia Play we're seeing this device pop up across the web in some lucky hands, so it has to be close to announcement time from SE.  According to My Android Life, it is -- the Neo and Xperia Play will be officially announced at Mobile World Congress.  We'll be there, and anything they have to tell us we'll be sure to tell you guys.

In the meantime, hit the source link and see some great pictures of the Sony Ericsson Neo.  I certainly hope the insides are as nice as the outsides!  [My Android Life]

Fuze Meeting

We had a look at Fuze Meeting for Android when it kicked things up a notch and released a tablet-specific application, and now they have gone a step further.  Fuze Meeting will be the first collaboration application for Honeycomb, delivering HD mobile video, full hosting abilities and pinch-to-zoom and iPoint laser technology for the Motorola Xoom.

Fuze Box says that hosts and attendees will be able to view up to 10 high resolution videos in a single instance of the app, which should give the new rendering engine in Honeycomb a run for it's money.  If they can pull it off well, this will make the Motorola Xoom a serious business tool, and a true competitor to the iPad.  Hit the break for the full press release.

LG Optimus 3D teaser video

LG has confirmed that we'll see the Optimus 3D at Mobile World Congress in just a couple short weeks (we'll be there, by the way), and now they're ramping up the hype with a teaser video.

"Something bigger is coming on your way" may be prepositionally challenged, but there's no shortage of bombast. Clearly LG has quite a few eggs in whatever basket it's bringing to Barcelona. Check it out after the break. [via @LGmobileMWC]

Revenge of the Blackjack

It looks like Sprint and Samsung have been working together to bring a portrait QWERTY Android phone, and have at least got to the prototype stage.  Not much information about this one is known, but Pocketnow got their hands on a few photos that shows a Droid Pro-esque phone, and it's clearly (as clear as blurrycam can ever be) running Android.

Could this be part of Sprint's Magical event next week, or something we'll see at Mobile World Congress?  Or is this just a one-off for now?  And maybe most importantly, will it be called the BlackJack S?  We'll keep you posted as we know more.  [PocketNow]
