Carphone Warehouse taking pre-orders for July 4 availability, £329.95 SIM-free

During the Huawei Ascend P6 launch event in London, we were given an RRP of €449, but in putting the device up for pre-order Carphone Warehouse has undercut this by quite a bit. The CEO of Carphone Warehouse appeared at the event, but didn't discuss any pricing or availability, but the high street retailer is now taking pre-orders. A SIM-free Ascend P6 will cost £329.95, and will be available on contract for free on deals starting at £21 a month.

Expected delivery is currently July 4, and if you're wanting the pink one you see here, at least for now, you're out of luck. Carphone Warehouse is only currently taking pre-orders on the black and white varieties. For the price, you're getting an awful lot of smartphone. A quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, a 720p 4.7-inch display, a ridiculously thin 6.18mm phone with a 2000mAh battery squeezed inside running Android 4.2.2

If you missed it, be sure to check out our first hands on with the new Ascend P6 from the event. And, if you're thinking of pulling the trigger on one of these, jump into the comments below.

Seems kinda high RRP, concidering that pre-sale started at Finland today for 356e without contract and sim-free (options to pay without interest for 1-3 years).

Battery would just plain out suck on lte, but since a lot of Europe doesn't have it, might be ok
