Americans can now buy a Huawei Ascend Mate2 for $300

Huawei has announced today that the Ascend Mate2 is now available for purchase on Newegg. The handset is available in your choice of black or white, and retails for $300.00.

The Ascend Mate2 features a quad-core 1.6 GHz, along with a massive 3900mAh battery. Huawei is billing the handset's ability to stream several movies in a row, surf the web for hours, and listen to up to 100 hours of music on a single charge. However, one of the biggest draws to this handset is its ability to charge other devices (yes you read that right). Newegg is bundling a "reverse charge cable" (essentially a Micro USB-to-Micro USB cable) with the Ascend Mate2 so you too can charge other devices, even other phones, with the Mate2's absurd battery.

Our own Andrew Martonik reviewed the handset back in June and came away impressed, especially at the $300 price point. But will you be picking up Huawei's latest offering now that it is available on Newegg?
