Huawei Vision

Huawei today announced the newest addition to its smartphone lineup with the Vision. It's a sleek device that actually closely resembles the Nexus S with its curved unibody construction. The phone will run Android 2.3, the latest version of Android, and come packed with a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

Here are the known specs:

  • 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen
  • 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
  • 5MP camera with auto focus and LED flash
  • 720p video recording
  • Bluetooth 2.1
  • WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
  • 3D interface that includes 3D panels to make navigating the phone possible by swiping
  • Pre-installed games include: Angry Birds, Asphalt 6: Adrenaline, Order & Chaos Online, Guerilla Bob HD

The Vision will be available in 'select markets' in September. It's great to see Huawei stepping their game up in the consumer mobile space with the Vision. It's also nice to see a 3.7-inch screen as it seems lately the market has been flooded with the larger ones. More choice is always better. Please find the press release after the break.

A low-end 3D phone like this might be a hit if the price is cheap enough.

With the little screen and the included games it might be a $50 phone targeted at kids?

The 3d interface looks like it is SPB Mobile Shell 3D looking at some of the press shots.

Looks like a lovely little phone.

YES I hope more manufacturers give us the option of 3.7" screen devices!!!!! Unless the who device can be made to look and feel smaller with a 4" screen when ICS releases, i.e. a good thin border around the screen.

That is a really nice looking phone, too bad it doesn't have dual core. But I guess people who don't want or need a giant, powerful phone would like this

Huawei probably does have a great design team. They have a great view of devices. Only if their phones were more powerful they would be just perfect. I could see Hauwei hitting major carriers in the future. .

Um, not to sound like a turtle neck wearing, sue happy, fruity CEO, but, pretty sure their design team is a joke and only copies everything else out there. Huawei is one of the worst companies. Will never support their products especially being closely tied to the Chinese government.
