We don't cover smart TVs very often, but every now and then a deal will come along that deserves your immediate attention. Just in time for Super Bowl LX, Best Buy is dropping $350 off the 50-inch Class QM5K Google TV by TCL, a versatile entertainment powerhouse that's perfect for shoppers on a budget.

This deal is just one of many smart TV discounts that Best Buy is offering ahead of game day on February 8th, and while 50 inches isn't exactly massive for a smart TV, it's perfectly sufficient for folks who live in an apartment or need a mid-sized TV for a bedroom. And for $299.99, it's an absolute steal.

TCL 50" QM5K Google TV: $649.99 $299.99 at Best Buy

For a limited time, Best Buy is slashing $350 off the QM5K Google TV from TCL. This 2025 Android TV boasts a 50-inch LED display with 4K resolution, an ultra-slim design, and instant access to all of your favorite streaming services via the Google TV platform. This deal is exclusive to Best Buy shoppers, so grab it before it's gone.

Straight out of the box, the 50-inch TCL smart TV delivers crystal-clear images in stunning 4K with HDR Pro+ and Motion Rate 240 support, plus Auto Game Mode for the lowest possible input lag.

On the audio front, the Google TV also supports Dolby Atmos Audio and DTS Virtual:X for particularly immersive sound, thereby eliminating the need for an expensive soundbar. The 2025 TCL smart TV even has onboard AI processing to adjust and upscale images in real time.

The Google TV OS also provides instant access to all of the best streaming services, plus you'll enjoy built-in Chromecast entertainment and support for your personal voice assistant, including Google Assistant (naturally) and Amazon Alexa. Even if all of the onboard tools provided by the TV fail you, the QM5K comes with three HDMI inputs for your preferred devices.

Of course, no smart TV is perfect, particularly in this price range. The TCL set's local dimming feature isn't as effective as I would like, leading to a bit of a glare problem in certain light and from certain angles. If you want the best picture possible and can afford to spend a bit more, there are Samsung and Sony models that might be a better fit. But if you want to spend 300 bucks on a Google TV that usually costs much more, this Best Buy deal presents an incredible opportunity.
