Sony's IFA announcements kicked off with a new line of smartphones, the Z5 series. And leading the pack is the Xperia Z5, a 5.2-inch handset that builds on the Xperia Z4 and Z3+ with an upgraded camera and tweaked design. So is the steadyshot software or is it hardware OIS? If they can tame the 810, I'm interested. Nice combo of features. No phone is going to tick all of the boxes, but this one is pretty close to it for me.

Looks like it's all software and no OIS again, well hopefully the superfast autofocus will compensate for that, at least in the pictures. If the camera is good enough, I'll stick with sony, if not it's Samsung in the near future.

I own the Z3 currently and I already love it besides the camera software. I hope they included manual controls like shutter speed, manual focus and custom color temperature right into the stock camera app like LG and Samsung did. The back is also matte finish which is way more comfortable to hold. If this is slated for T-Mobile and the new camera is really good and not just good on paper then I will definitely be getting the Z5. Posted via the Android Central App
