Years ago you used to have to commit to long-term contracts and pay hefty bills in order to add security systems to your home, but that's all changed recently. Ring's self-install Alarm System is one of the best on the market right now, and if you act quickly you can save big on it. Amazon has the 8-piece Alarm System marked down to $189 and is also tossing in a free Echo Dot to sweeten the deal a bit more.

This 8-piece kit normally sells for $239, making today's deal a $50 discount ($80 if you include the value of the Echo Dot) and bringing it down to the lowest price we've ever tracked on it.

This bundle deal makes the 8-piece kit with a free Echo Dot more affordable than buying just the regular 5-piece Alarm System on its own. This is one of the best deals we've seen, so don't miss out.

To put the deal into perspective a little more, Amazon has the 5-piece Alarm System priced at $199 right now. That means you pay $10 more for a kit that has 3 less pieces, which is wild. The Ring Alarm system is super easy to install, and doesn't require you to run wires or anything extreme. Ring only charges $100 a year (or you can pay $10 per month) for the professional monitoring services, and if you have other Ring devices like cameras or the video doorbells, you get the annual access for those included in the aforementioned fee.

The 8-piece kit comes with the base station, two motion sensors, a keypad, three contact sensors, and a range extender. You can use the contact sensors on doors or windows to know when they are opened or closed, and the motion sensors can be mounted anywhere that you want within your home. It's all controlled using the free Ring app, where you can view the status of the system, as well as arm or disarm it with just a few taps.
