  • OnePlus is rolling out a new OxygenOS update with the July 2020 Android security patch to the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro.
  • It includes support for the company's new OnePlus Buds, new clock styles, and a Chromatic effect option in Reading mode.
  • A broader rollout of the update is expected to commence within the next few days.

Last month, OnePlus rolled out new OxygenOS updates with OnePlus Buds support to the OnePlus 8, 8 Pro, 6, 6T, and Nord phones. The company has now released a new OxygenOS update for the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro with support for the company's first-ever true wireless earbuds and a few new features.

The update arrives as OxygenOS 10.0.7 in Europe and 10.3.4 for the Indian and global variants of the two phones. According to the official changelog, the update brings several new clock styles that users can customize on their own, a Chromatic effect option in Reading mode, and support for Bluetooth hearing aids under the Android 10 Audio Streaming for Hearing Aid (ASHA) agreement. Aside from the new features, the update comes with the July 2020 Android security patch and a few bug fixes as well.

Here's the full changelog:

  • Provided a variety of clock styles for you. You can customize on your own. (Go to Settings>Customization>Clock style)
  • Fixed the issue that double tap could not wake up the screen in some settings
  • Updated Android security patch to 2020.07

In usual fashion, OnePlus is rolling out the new update in stages. As long as no critical bugs are found, a broader rollout is likely to begin in a few days. However, if you do not want to wait for the OTA update to arrive, you can grab it using the third-party Oxygen Updater app from the Play Store.
