Deathloop is currently set to release on May 21, 2021 for the PS5 and PC. Microsoft is currently in the process of acquiring ZeniMax Media, the parent company of Bethesda Softworks and Deathloop developer Arkane Studios but the deal isn't affecting the release of Deathloop, which is console exclusive to the PS5 for a year.
The other timed PS5 console exclusive from Bethesda Softworks, Ghostwire: Tokyo, is similarly not being affected by the acquisition. With that said, the release of Bethesda Softworks titles on non-Xbox and PC platforms may change once the acquisition is finalized at some point later in 2021.
Deathloop runs at 4K 60 FPS on PS5, while also taking advantage of the unique DualSense adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, so if a gun jams, the trigger will actually provide resistance.
Players are trying to eliminate key targets to escape Blackreef but there's a catch: a rival assassin, who can be an NPC or controller by another player online, will be trying to kill you at the same time.
Crazy action
The clock is ticking
Deathloop is Arkane's action-packed timeloop story that sees two assassins trying to kill each other before the day resets.
