HTC launched seven phones yesterday in India, and the vendor is now back for an encore. The latest HTC handset to make its way to the country is the One M9+ Prime Camera Edition, which retains the styling of the One M9 while paring down the hardware to compete in the mid-range space.
The phone comes with a 5-inch Full HD display, and is powered by MediaTek's Helio X10 SoC. There's 2GB of RAM on offer, and 16GB internal storage along with a microSD slot that can accommodate cards up to 2TB in size, and a 2840mAh battery. There's a 13MP camera at the back with OIS and 4K video recording, and an UltraPixel shooter up front. You also get the BoomSound stereo speakers at the front, and unlike the latest HTC phones, the One M9+ Prime Camera Edition runs Lollipop out of the box.
The phone is now available for ₹23,990 ($358), although for that price, there are plenty of better alternatives available.

It turns out Google's "less is more" approach really fits well within the constraints of a less-expensive phone, and its strengths in software and camera processing stand out against less-refined competition. The Pixel 4a picks up right where the 3a left off, with better specs, the same great camera, and a $50 lower price.
