If you have been waiting to purchase or upgrade your smartwatch but were waiting for a sale, well, have we got some amazing Prime Day Android smartwatch deals for you! Being an Android user means having open access to tons of devices like smartphones, tablets, and even wearables. While the Apple Watch may be king over on iOS, we've got a ton of great options on our side of the fence as well.
Whether you prefer a rugged sports watch, a classic computer on your wrist, or a hybrid watch that has a more traditional look and feel, we've got you covered. Smartwatches from well-known companies like Fossil, Garmin, Samsung, and Fitbit are sure to catch your eye but don't overlook some of the lesser-known players like Mobvoi/Ticwatch, Amazfit, and Withings. Regardless of which watch you wear, there are plenty of great deals on super smartwatches for you during Prime Day 2020.

Garmin Instinct | $95 off at Amazon
This is the watch I'd take with me if I were going on a thru-hike or wilderness experience. Its rugged frame is built to MIL-STD-810G standards, and it has built-in GPS and a 3-axis compass with a barometric altimeter. There are now even special versions for surfing and ones capable of recharging over solar power.
Best Wear OS Smartwatch Deals
What began as Google's first smartwatch platform back in 2014 as Android Wear has morphed over the years into what we now know as Wear OS. Love it or hate it, Wear OS is the wearable platform influenced, directed, and developed by Google itself. Numerous manufacturers have developed smartwatches on the platform, including Motorola, Mobvoi (Ticwatch), and the Fossil Group, which markets Wear OS watches under its Fossil, Michael Kors, Skagen, Kate Spade, and other sub-brands.
Many claim that Wear OS watches are not as powerful or focused as other smartwatches like the Apple Watch or fitness-focused devices from Garmin and Fitbit, but there is still a lot to love here. As with Android phones, Wear OS watches come in all kinds of shapes, sizes, and colors, and have varying levels of style and sophistication. Here are some of our favorites for which we could find Prime Day deals. Which one looks the best to you?

Fossil Gen 5 Series | $155 at Amazon
The Fossil Gen 5 series of Wear OS watches has widely been called the best that Wear OS has to offer in 2020. These watches are available in a stunning variety of colors, sizes, and finishes, with options that may appeal to traditionally masculine or feminine tastes. Out of all of these, the Garrett version is the best deal available right now.

Fossil Hybrid HR | $39 off at Amazon
If you prefer a more traditional look in your wristwatch but still want some of the benefits of a smartwatch, then the Hybrid HR is the perfect compromise. It has an E Ink display that can show notifications, steps taken, and alarms, and those things can fade away when not actively in use.

Fossil Commuter | $36 off at Amazon
The Fossil Commuter is an even more traditional watch that should please the fashion-focused. It can alert you to notifications and track your steps, and it never needs charging!

Michael Kors Access Gen 5 Bradshaw | $53 off at Amazon
Michael Kors makes several Wear OS smartwatches, and this one, in particular, is targeted at those going after a more feminine aesthetic. This version is one of the brands most popular under the Fossil Group's Gen 5 set of watches.

Michael Kors Access Gen 4 MKGO | $7 off at Amazon
This Michael Kors watch is more sporty and sports a more universally appealing design. I particularly like the vivid red watch, though the sparkly black and white crystal variants are a lot of fun too.

Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 4G/LTE | $92 off at Amazon
Mobvoi may be another one of those company names you don't immediately recognize, but if you're in the market for a Wear OS watch, you've probably heard of its TicWatch brand. The pro model is one of our favorites thanks to its vivid screen and 4G LTE functionality.

Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3 | $300 at Amazon
The TicWatch Pro 3 is the first device running the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4100 processor and it provides a much needed performance boost. Not only is the device significantly faster, but it also is thinner and lighter.

Mobvoi TicWatch C2+ | $50 off at Amazon
The TicWatch C2 Plus is one of the more premium-looking Wear OS smartwatches. It comes in Platinum, Onyx, and Rose Gold finishes, as well as stylish matching leather bands. NFC, GPS, and HRM are all built-in too.

Mobvoi TicWatch S2 | $60 off at Amazon
If you want a rugged Wear OS watch, the TicWatch S2 should be near the top of your list. It is waterproof up to 4ATM and comes with a MIL-STD-810G rating, which means it can withstand whatever weather you can throw at it.

Mobvoi TicWatch E2 | $48 off at Amazon
The TicWatch E2 is a perfect, durable, no-frills Wear OS smartwatch. It is water-resistant to 5ATM, and comes with a 24-hr heart rate monitor and GPS.

Moto 360 (3rd Gen) | $120 off at Amazon
Okay, so this one isn't technically made by Motorola anymore, but the iconic style of the original Moto 360 watch lives on in this 2019 reboot. It comes with GPS, NFC, and solid battery life, but it is a bit of a chonker if you have small wrists.

Suunto 7 | $50 off at Amazon
Suunto makes elite sports watches that compete with the best from Garmin and Polar, but what sets this smartwatch apart from the others is its Wear OS software integration. Along with that comes GPS, offline maps, and over 70 different sport modes.
Best Samsung Galaxy Smartwatch Deals
Like its gorgeous Galaxy smartphones, Samsung produces several high-quality smartwatches under the Galaxy name. These wearables are always among the most searched for on Android Central, and whenever we review a new one, that article always gets a ton of views from our readers.
Even though it only came out recently, the highly-acclaimed Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 is already being discounted on Amazon, as are two of the older, but still great models. We'll keep our eyes peeled to see if and when the Galaxy Watch Active 2 gets a Prime Day deal, because that is still our top pick for the best smartwatch for Android users.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 | $31 off at Amazon
The Galaxy Watch 3 is the latest and greatest from Samsung's beloved smartwatch line, and AC's own Hayato Huseman even called it the new best Android smartwatch. Since it only came out recently, I'm pleasantly surprised to see it already on discount, so be sure to snatch this one up if you can.

Samsung Galaxy Watch | $40 off at Amazon
The original Samsung Galaxy Watch is a few years old now, but it still performs excellently, and it's still one of the top sellers on Amazon to this day.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active | $61 off at Amazon
Samsung released a newer Galaxy Watch Active 2 this year, so as long as the original is still in stock, we can expect to see some good deals on hand for Prime Day.
Best Fitbit Smartwatch Deals
When you think of a fitness watch, chances are the name Fitbit is one of the first brands that come to mind. The company has been making some of the most popular activity trackers and bands for over a decade, but you may be surprised to learn that it also makes some pretty great smart fitness watches too.
Fitbit recently announced its latest smartwatches in the Sense and Versa 3, and while we haven't seen any deals or discounts on those devices just yet, we will be sure to update this post if and when they do go on sale. For now, last year's top models are still a great option and can be had for a steal right now.

Fitbit Versa Lite | $26 off at Amazon
The Fitbit Versa Lite doesn't have NFC payments, Alexa access, or all of the fancy fitness modes of the Versa 2, but it is a solid fitness smartwatch at a very affordable price point. You can find it for as much as $90 off during Prime Day!

Fitbit Versa 2 | $52 off at Amazon
The Fitbit Versa 2 offers six-day battery life, heart rate and sleep monitoring, and Amazon Alexa access at a better price than ever before. Even with the newly-announced Versa 3 on the horizon, this is still a great smartwatch at a fantastic price.
Best Garmin Smartwatch Deals
Fitbit may be one of the most popular fitness brands, but elite athletes tend to trust Garmin with their health, GPS, and exercise data more than any other brand. The company has a diverse range of smart fitness watches from basic running watches to fully-featured navigational devices.
If you want an excellent running watch, you can't go wrong with the Forerunner 35, 35, or 235, which are all available at great prices right now. The Venu is our pick for the best overall smartwatch deal, and we also really like the rugged Instinct for cross country treks.

Garmin Forerunner 35 | $27 off at Amazon
This older, entry-level to the Forerunner series is still an excellent option for those looking to pick up running or join the vaunted Garmin ecosystem. My daughter, who runs collegiate cross country, still swears by this model and won't give hers up for the newer, flashier versions. Who can blame her?

Garmin Forerunner 45 | $28 off at Amazon
The Forerunner 45 is a generational improvement on the 45, with a circular color screen and advanced modes like safety tracking, incident detection, and onboard GPS. It also features impressive seven-day battery life.

Garmin Forerunner 235 | $46 off at Amazon
Like the Forerunner 35 mentioned above, the 235 is an older device, but it's still a good option and an even better value. At around $160, this is an even better deal than the entry-level Forerunner 45.

Garmin Forerunner 645 Music | $94 off at Amazon
Leave your phone at home on your next training run! Just grab your Bluetooth earbuds and go with the built-in music capabilities of the Garmin Forerunner 645 Music. You can store playlists from Spotify, Amazon Music, Deezer, or iHeartRadio.

Garmin Forerunner 735XT | $110 off at Amazon
This elite GPS runing watch provides advanced training metrics for runners, cyclers, and swimmers. It also can provide VO2 max estimates, lactate threshold, and race and recovery guidance.

Garmin Forerunner 935 | $136 off at Amazon
The 935 is the top of the line in the Forerunner series and is geared towards marathoners, ultramarathoners, and triathletes, but that doesn't mean you can't get in on the goods too. This fitness watch has a built-in electric compass to keep you from getting lost on your next long run.

Garmin Venu | $339 at Amazon
The Garmin Venu is the sports wearable company's best looking, most well-rounded smartwatch. It sports an AMOLED screen and five-day battery life and can store music, so you don't need to carry your phone with you.

Garmin Vivoactive 4/4S | $60 off at Amazon
The Vivoactive 4 is another smart-focused fitness watch, much like its cousin, the Venu, but there is at least one crucial reason why you might go for this model over the other. It gets better battery life, thanks in part to the fact that it doesn't have to power an AMOLED display.

Garmin Vivomove HR | $63 off at Amazon
This watch is Garmin's answer to the hybrid watches available from Wear OS manufacturers like Fossil. At first glance, it looks like a regular analog watch. However, it has a unique trick. Portions of the screen can light up with useful information, like when you get a notification or to show you fitness metrics.

Garmin Vivomove 3 | $69 off at Amazon
The Vivomove 3, also available as the Vivomove Luxe or Vivomove Style, is a more premium version of the Vivomove HR. It has a fancier fit and finishes, and a hidden touchscreen display.

Garmin Approach S60 Golf Smartwatch | $85 off off at Amazon
This golf smartwatch takes everything that is great about the S40 and elevates it to a more premium level. You get a large, 1.2-inch sunlight-readable color touchscren display, and you can add other outdoor recreatiion profiles for activities like skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, stand up paddleboarding, and rowing.

Garmin Fenix 5X Plus | $400 off at Amazon
Garmin's Fenix line has always been considered the best of the best when it comes to mixing premium materials and premium fitness features. The popular 5X Plus can be had now for almost $300 off its initial retail price.

Garmin Tactix Charlie | $150 off at Amazon
If you envision yourself as more than a weekend warrior, then the Garmin Tactix Charlie just might be the Android smartwatch for you. It features TOPO mapping, 12-day battery life, and is compatable with night vision goggles. Hard core!
Other Great Android Smartwatch Deals
If none of the Android smartwatches listed above strike your fancy, or if you like seeking out hidden gems, then perhaps these wearables are more your style. Withings is widely respected in the health wearables space, and it also makes a line of smart scales, blood pressure monitors, and other health devices.
Amazfit somehow manages to crank our affordable smartwatch after affordable smartwatch, with different form factors and sizes that remind me of old Pebble watches or even some of the more hardcore Garmin tactical editions.

Withings Move | $14 off at Amazon
The Withings Move is an affordable, sporty-looking smart fitness watch that can relay basic health metrics from your wrist to your phone. It doesn't relay notifications, but its battery can last over a year.

Amazfit GTR | $26 off at Amazon
This modern smartwatch has a style that harkens back to a classic timepiece, but it comes with 12 sport modes, 5 ATM water resistance, onboard GPS, and excellent battery life.

Amazfit T-Rex | $28 off at Amazon
If you like watches like the Garmin Instinct and Ticwatch Pro, then you'll love the Amazfit T-Rex. It sports a rugged design, a gorgeous screen, and a 20-day battery life.
Apple Watch Deals
If you're an Apple iPhone user or if you have a friend or family member who is, you'll no-doubt have your eyes peeled for Apple Watch Prime Day deals. Apple just recently anounced two new editions to its smartwatch lineup in the Apple Watch SE and Apple Watch Series 6. The popular Apple Watch Series 3 is still available, and more affordable than ever before. Following are the best Apple Watch deals that we've found thus far for Prime Day 2020.

Apple Watch Series 3 | $30 off Amazon
The Apple Watch Series 3 has been around for a couple of years now, but it still does the basics better than most smartwatches, including relaying iMessages and notifications and advanced fitness traking.

Apple Watch SE | $269 at Amazon
The Apple Watch SE carries over the newer design and larger screen from the Series 4 and 5, as well as many of the advanced health and fitness features from the Series 6, all at an accessible price point. We expect to see even better deals on this Apple Watch for the masses during Prime Day.

Apple Watch Series 6 | $385 at Amazon
The Series 6 is the top of the line smartwatch from Apple, and can take SpO2 and ECG scans directly from your wrist. It's also the fastest Apple Watch ever with the new S6 system on a chip.
Which Android Smartwatch Should You Buy?
There is no shortage of fantastic Android smartwatches to choose from that will work well with your Android phone. You can get a fitness-focused watch, something that looks like a traditional timepiece, or something to relay notifications and control your smart home devices through.
Our overall pick for the best Prime Day Android smartwatch deal is the Garmin Venu, in no small part, because it gives you a little bit of all of the above at a reasonable price. It has the traditional circular watch styling that gives it a more understated look than an Apple Watch, and it has the best of Garmin's fitness features, as well as a gorgeous screen for reading and responding to your most important notifications.
Prime Day 2020 Android Smartwatch deals I'm most excited about
I already mentioned the nearly $50 off of the Garmin Venu, but I'm also looking forward to seeing some Prime Day discounts on the Gen 5 Fossil Wear OS watches, which are among the best that platform has to offer. Don't sleep on Mobvoi/Ticwatch deals either; with a new TicWatch Pro rumored to be launching soon, expect to see some good deals on some of the other models.
I'm not sure how much further Amazon is willing to go on the Fitbit Versa 2 (or how long supplies will last), but it will be a real treat if we get a price break on one of the new Fitibits like the Versa 3 or Inspire 2. You can also bet that there will be even more great deals on Amazfit smartwatches too.
What were the best Prime Day 2019 Android Smartwatch deals?
There were a ton of great smartwatch deals for Prime Day 2019, including $50 off the Garmin Forerunner 35, $40 off the Fitbit Versa Lite, and $50 off the Samsung Galaxy Watch. We're already seeing discounts approaching these great offers leading up to Prime Day 2020, so our fingers are crossed that the deals keep getting even better!
