Android Central Photo Contest: Paper

We put out the call for your best "paper" photos in our latest photo contest, and as is always the case the forums filled up with dozens of wonderful entries. We managed to narrow things down to the three eventual winners, which you should check out with us below.

Winner of a $50 Play Store gift card, James Bricknell!

Yes it's not paper, exactly — it's paperclips! What a great take on the prompt, and a nice close-up shot of these super old paper clips. You can see the detail in the rust, and the soft white background lets you focus on the colors in the clips themselves. Taken an HTC One M7 — nicely done.

Winner of a $50 Play Store gift card, ArmandMadgwick!

You wouldn't normally think of a roll of paper towels as a great subject for a photo, but this shot of some common kitchen items has a nice still life portrait quality to it. We think the muted filter is really nice, giving you a better feel for the shadows and the texture of the paper itself. Taken with a Huawei P8 and edited with the Lightroom app. Great shot.

Definitely the most colorful of the three winners, and a great shot of the various paper colors moving in the wind. The angle of the shot makes them feel a bit more alive rather than static objects hanging from above. Taken with a Nexus 6 and edited in the Photos app. Well done.

If you've won this contest, keep an eye on your email inbox for information on how we'll get the prize out to you. It may take some time to get to everyone, so please be patient while you wait to be contacted.

Thanks again to everyone else who entered, and keep your eyes peeled for the next photo contest. We want the chance to give away more great prizes to everyone, so keep taking pictures and entering them!
