A quick heads up for Brits looking for a cheap tablet that Tesco is currently selling manufacturer refurbished units of its own branded Hudl tablet for just £59. The sale comes via the Tesco Outlet store on eBay and includes a full 12-month warranty should anything go wrong.

The Hudl may have an odd name but it's actually a solid enough budget 7-inch tablet. With a 1440x900 resolution display, 1.5GHz quad-core CPU and 16GB of on-board storage with a microSD card slot, you could do a lot worse. At £59 you couldn't do any better.

It launched on Jelly Bean – albeit a pretty much untouched version of it – and will get you access to Tesco's Blinkbox media platform, but if you just want something cheap or even a tablet for the kids, grab one now while they're hot.

Argh tempted, but I/O is only 6 days away.
I'm torn. I haven't yet got a tablet. What should I do!?

Wait for Google I/O to see what they're going to come up with.

Depends if you only want to spend £59 :P If anything is announced at I/O you have to think it'd be at least £100 more than that.

Too bad it isn't available in our area. It's even cheaper than the Asus Memory Pad HD7.
