Weekly Photo Contest: Cooking

Pictures so delicious you can almost taste them.

Whether it was just a slow week or this prompt didn't spark the interest of many people, we're a little light on entries this week. That's not to take anything away from the folks who did enter — we still had a full three pages in the forums of great entries of food and cooking. This week we had the chance to pick four different winners, each one receiving any item of their choosing from the Android Central CafePress store.

As a quick note — given the craziness and travel surrounding MWC, we chose not to start up a new photo contest for this current week. Fear not, we'll be back to a regular schedule starting this coming Wednesday.

Winner of an item from the Android Central CafePress store, mkcollins!

Weekly Photo Contest: Food

When we requested pictures of cooking, we expected a picture precisely like this and you hit it out of the park. With just a few ingredients and the knife on the table it's some simple — and the simple color pallet sets it off as well. This one was taken with a Galaxy S4 and processed with VSCO Cam. Great shot.

Weekly Photo Contest: Food

He says "you can almost smell it," and we agree. The depth of field effect is great, especially for a phone, and you can see all of the great parts of cooking with the juices and the smoke as well. Taken with an HTC One — awesome picture.

Winner of an item from the Android Central CafePress store, Skyler Hokkanen!

Weekly Photo Contest: Food

This is something that could be seen in any cooking magazine out there — great placement, awesome looking food and excellent point-of-view. We just want to dig in. Perfect.

Weekly Photo Contest: Food

Another food shot with all of the aspects of a great picture. The colors pop off of the white bowl, the food looks delicious and a little bit of tweaking made this just right. This one was taken with a Nexus 5 and a few edits in the stock Gallery. Well done.

Keep an eye on your doorstep and mailboxes for a package, the prizes are on their way!

Thanks again to everyone else who entered, and keep your eyes peeled for the next photo contest. We want the chance to give away more great prizes to everyone, so keep taking pictures and entering them!
