Amazon's Black Friday sale just dropped a historic discount on the 'impressive' Forerunner 570
The 570 normally has a perplexingly high price tag, so this deal is a pleasant surprise.
Retailers have started launching fitness smartwatch deals for Black Friday, including Amazon, which chopped $100 off the Garmin Forerunner 570. While this smartwatch normally seems pretty expensive for what it has to offer, $100 in savings should help make it seem a little more justifiable.
The 570 has multi-band GPS tracking, Bluetooth connectivity, 8GB of storage, and other standard sensors such as an accelerometer, an altimeter, a compass, and a gyroscope, along with Garmin's latest Elevate sensor. The main omissions on the Forerunner 570 include the lack of an ECG sensor, offline maps, and an LED flashlight, while the bulkiness makes it less than ideal for sleep monitoring use. However, it's still a pretty solid Garmin watch beyond those, especially for those seeking a wide range of running and fitness features, coaching plans, and more.
This particular Black Friday Garmin deal is for the 47mm version of the watch, featuring the slightly larger 1.4-inch AMOLED display. It also boasts a slightly better battery life than the 42mm configuration, offering up to 11 days in smartwatch mode or up to 18 hours in GPS-only GNSS mode.
Garmin Forerunner 570 (47mm): $549.99 $449.99 for Amazon's Black Friday sale
The Garmin Forerunner 570 is a particularly expensive watch in the mid-range category, though it's currently available for $100 off as part of the Black Friday sale at Amazon. From active workout suggestions to customizable coaching plans and GPS, the watch boasts just about everything buyers today need in a fitness-focused wearable.
✅Recommended if: you're a well-seasoned runner or workout enthusiast and you want a discount on one of Garmin's mid-range watch options; you prefer a large AMOLED display, even if it's a little bulkier than smaller models; you're looking for something with advanced fitness options but you don't want to pay the premium on a Forerunner 970.
❌Skip this deal if: you're looking for one of the best Android smartwatches on the market and you have the budget to upgrade; you're really new to running or other workout activities and you don't want to have to sift through the 570's many advanced options and modes; you need a smartwatch with an ECG sensor.
The Garmin Forerunner 570 is a great smartwatch for most runners, but it definitely bears repeating that it doesn't have an ECG sensor built in. Still, if that doesn't bother you, you'll likely find what you need in the watch's other features, including Garmin's latest Elevate sensor, an Sp02 sensor, an accelerometer, an altimeter, and gyroscope, and a range of multi-band GPS and satellite tracking hardware.
Many buyers like the colorful, sporty designs on the 570 models, and the large AMOLED display included on the 47mm configuration. It also comes with 8GB of storage, Bluetooth, NFC, and a built-in speaker, in addition to Garmin's Morning and Evening Reports.
