Google TV might not have taken off like some folks expected it to, but those of us who use it (especially with the Honeycomb/Google TV 2.0 update) know that it can be a great way to get the web into your living room. A cool thing I've been fooling with is watching my podcasts on the 42-incher while kicked back in my recliner, so I'm sharing my guide for watching the Android Central Podcast on your Google TV with everyone. Wait until you see our pretty faces in high-def on the big screen! Hit the break and follow along.
There are three ways to get the Greatest Android Podast in the World on your Google TV, and we're going to cover them right here. Starting with:
This way is easy as pie -- it's the same way you watch live on your computer, tablet, or phone. Fire up the Chrome Browser, and head to AndroidCentral.com/live Thursday nights around 8:45 p.m. Eastern, and you'll have the podcast stream and the chat, ready and waiting so you can join in the fun. It's the best way to watch, because you're being a part of it all. Nothing to install, no fuss -- it just works.
Watch the recorded podcast on Youtube
This way is pretty easy as well. Hit the home button on your Google TV controller, start the Youtube app, and search for Android Central Podcast. (Here's a handy link.) You'll find us there, and the video is just a click away. You can even subscribe to our Youtube channel (and you totally should) and skip the searching step. But if you're going to go that route, you might as well subscribe via the Google TV Podcasts app!
Using the Google TV Podcasts app
This way has a little bit of easy setup, but it puts the AC podcast right into your subscribed feeds in the Google TV Podcasts application -- where it feels all snuggly and at home. I promise the setup is really simple, just follow along.
Open the podcast page in the browser
Fire up Chrome, and head to AndroidCentral.com/podcast. You'll see Lloyd there welcoming you, but what we're interested in are the links underneath him. You'll see a handful of them there, and the one were interested in is the "Video feed" link (where the hand pointer is in the screen shot above). Go ahead and click it. You'll be asked what application you want to use to open it up, go ahead and choose "Podcasts," which brings you to this:
The first thing to do is click the subscribe button, so you'll never have to search or enter the feed URL again. Once that's done, you'll be able to find us right inside your Podcasts application. Now all that's left to do is click the link to the episode you want to watch, and let it do it's thing. We recommend salty snacks and frosty beverages!
That's it. Video podcasts on a 22-inch monitor are so 2011. We'll see ya Thursdays!
AC Podcast 492: TikTok/WeChat Ban; LG Wing; Pixel 5s; PS5
Daniel and Jerry are joined by Alex Dobie and Joe Maring to make sense of the impending (at the time of recording) TikTok and WeChat bans in the U.S. The crew also preview the LG Wing and discuss Apple's recent Watch and iPad announcements in comparison to Android-compatible watches and the Galaxy Tab S7. Alex also reports on the rumored Pixel 5s. Plus, the next-gen consoles are coming...

Foldable phones have come a long way in 18 months, and now with the Galaxy Z Fold 2, we have no major flaws, no shortchanged specs and no hurdles still to overcome. Now is the tipping point when foldables start to actually become worthy of your wallet.
