Secure your phone with the iOttie iTap 2 air vent mount on sale for $17

Over Black Friday weekend we saw an awesome sale featuring several iOttie car mounts. Even though those deals have now expired, we're seeing a couple of them come back. The iOttie iTap 2 magnetic air vent car mount is one of them. It's down to $16.99 on Amazon from a street price around $25. That matches its Black Friday price, which is the lowest we have ever seen.

You can also get the iOttie Easy One Touch 4 dash and windshield car mount on sale for $15.76. This car mount also usually sells for $25 and has also never been this low. This is the option to go for if you prefer a cradle that holds and releases your phone instead of a magnetic onnection.

The iOttie iTap 2 uses rare Earth magnets that are strong enough to hold onto any phone, and the magnets are strong enough you won't have to remove any cases either. You can use an inner or outer metal plate that attaches to mounting locations with an adhesive tape that's easy to remove. These plates have a protective film that won't harm your phone. Plus, if you follow the instructions the metal plates shouldn't interfere with wireless charging, either.

Use the rotating ball joint on the mount to rotate up to 360 degrees. This is useful for finding the perfect viewing angle on your phone without detaching and re-attaching over and over. So if you plan on using your smartphone's navigation, you'll be able to find the right angle that lets you see the driving instructions, and it won't take you much effort to get it perfect.

The mount installs easily using the Twist Lock to attach onto your car's air vent blades. Detach the mount and take it with you to use it as a kickstand wherever you go.
