Lollipop update for Sprint HTC One M8 set for Feb. 13, LG G3 on Feb. 16

Today saw updates to Android 5.0 Lollipop for both the Sprint HTC One M7 and Samsung Galaxy S5, but other phones in Sprint's stable are set to get their own Material Design updates in the near future. Namely, the HTC One M8 is scheduled for February 13th, while the LG G3 is penciled in for February 16th.

Sprint Lollipop update schedule

Both update dates are, of course, subject to change, but it's heartening to see carriers like Sprint pushing forward with these major updates for flagship devices on their networks.

  • A little over a week ago lg said that it was coming soon to US carriers and then at&t said l tweeted saying really soon. If sprint beats at&t then sprint is getting their act together. Next for them is fix their network. Their 3g is abysmal and their LTE is slower than T-Mobile's hspa+ 3g Posted via the Android Central App
  • For you Posted by my soon to be retired Note 3
  • No no, their service is terrible across the board. You'd have to be right under their towers in order for it to work correctly.
  • It's all completely anecdotal. I have terrific service at home, iffy service at work (very dense commercial area). One can't make blanket statements.
  • yeah I used to get great service at the gym with sprint, no service at home, and spotty service at work. Switch to T-Mobile and I get great service everywhere now. So Service with Sprint was just bad in the places I needed it the most. not everywhere.

  • As much as I want 5.0 on my M8 with AT&T, by the time they allow it to be released, the M9 will be out and I'll probably upgrade to it. So, I can wait. Golly AT&T is slow at this crap.

  • Wonder when T-Mobile G3 will get it.
I'm on a AOKP, CM, PA, Omni based lollipop ROM now but only till the official LG lollipop update.
Call me crazy but I actually like the LG skin. It's like touchwiz lite.
and I can move the apps icon on launcher unlike touchwiz.
  • Rather wait for 5.0.1 lollipop LG G3 32gb
  • I'm surprised the great T-Mobile didn't release it months ago - figured Legere would update each and every G3 personally Posted via the Android Central App
