Samsung is reportedly looking into launching an affordable version of the Galaxy S5. The Galaxy S5 Neo could be the next handset in the series of products released with less powerful features for those seeking a deal.
According to SamMobile, the Galaxy S5 Neo will come with a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display (1080p), 16GB of internal storage, 2GB RAM, 16-MP rear shooter, and a 2,800mAh battery to power everything. It's almost identical to the original Galaxy S5, aside from the processor, front-facing camera and network connectivity.
Samsung has opted to include a 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7580 processor, 5-MP front-facing selfie machine and will arrive as both single- and dual-SIM variants. Both versions are expected to arrive with Android 5.1 Lollipop installed. While the Galaxy S5 Neo is a less powerful version of the Galaxy S5, according to the report, it may prove a popular purchase for those who don't require a flagship handset.
