Samsung is reportedly getting ready to launch the Galaxy A8 in China on July 17. Leaked photos of the device from yesterday revealed a thin-bezeled display, which ties in with the device's svelte 5.94mm body.
According to Nowhereelse.fr, the Galaxy A8 will retail for €439 ($494), with the most recent round of leaks predicting a 5.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, octa-core Snapdragon 615 SoC, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, microSD card slot (up to 128GB), 16MP ISOCELL camera with f/1.9 lens, 5MP front shooter and a 3,050mAh battery. At that price point, the device will replace the Galaxy Alpha.
The Galaxy A8 is also rumored to come with a fingerprint sensor that's tucked into the home button. The device will be available in black, white and gold color combinations at launch.
