Microsoft has graduated Outlook, their popular mail app for Android, out of 'preview' status.
After pushing out 17 updates since launching in back in January, Microsoft has now removed the 'preview' tag from Outlook for Android. The team at Microsoft had high expectations for Outlook, and while enhancing performance and squashing bugs they had tagged the app as a preview. With the expectations finally being met, the team has no longer calls it a preview.
Outlook is an example of Office's new development model for building mobile apps—deliver a great first version of our apps and then iterate quickly with the help and feedback of our users. This removal from preview is not a change in that plan or a statement that we are 'done.' We will continue our pace of updates to make the app better each week in response your feedback.
Outlook for Android supports Office 365, Exchange, Outlook.com, iCloud, Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, and IMAP accounts. You can download Outlook for Android for free from Google Play.
