PlayStation App

If you happen to be a European PlayStation owner with an Android device, then today is your lucky day. Sony has released the official PlayStation app for Android, a very pretty app which for the moment falls a little short on functionality. Find out more about features, along with a QR code after the jump.

  • Check out your PlayStation Network trophies and keep up to date with your friends’ games and online status.
  • Discover all the latest games, news and hardware for your PlayStation 3, PSP and PlayStation 2.
  • Read all the announcements on the European PlayStation.Blog.
  • Share your favourite products or news with your friends on Facebook, Twitter or via e-mail.

Hopefully Sony can expand on this rather limited feature set in future app releases, especially with the Android-powered Xperia Play (aka PlayStation Phone) rumored to be arriving this Spring.

PlayStation Network members in the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, and the Netherlands can download the official PlayStation app by scanning the QR code below in Google Goggles.

havent goten is yet *my epic well is broke thanks to snow and slick ground, we got 6+ inches* so far its kinda basic i would like to see a msg and chat feature with friends on psn that yould be nice and a line of games that can be played free/paid with phone and ps3

PS2....damn Sony when are you going to let that thing die.

Looking forward to this app, would like to see some PS3/Android integration, and of course Google TV but we all know that will never happen.

I don't think the expectation of playing games is to high, especially when Microsoft is running commercials of some Guy acting like a douche playing Xbox live games with his gay avatar on his wp7. I think its a warranted expectation.

it works in the USA i was able to log into my psn account. all the games and stuff are for the euro market which is why this isn't out in the states
