Android One

It's been two centuries since curry made it from India to the UK, and now Indian smartphone manufacturer Karbonn is going to start selling their Android One-powered Sparkle V handset to Britons. The Android 4.4 KitKat-runnning phone launched today on Amazon today for £129.99, though on Friday it'll be going for £99.99 (yes, they're doing Black Friday outside of the United States now… we're sorry).

For that price you get a 4.5-inch 854x480 IPS display over top of a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 4GB of internal storage, and 1GB of RAM. It's also equipped with a 5MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, and a 1700mAh battery.

Here's the issue, though. The Moto G (2014), which is inarguably a better phone, costs just £10 more. A first-generation Moto G actually costs less, and is a better phone.

But, should you really want a Karbonn Sparkle V, you can get one from right now. Or wait until Friday, up to you.
