As we prepare to head on in to the HTC event today, we wouldn't be off to a great start if there wasn't some last minute rumors popping up. No, we're not talking about those Facebook phones here. We're talking about the HTC Revolver which has been suggested to be a Honeycomb loving phone that is headed to AT&T. Of course, the fact it's a phone running Honeycomb has us wondering about the legitimacy of it all.

Spec wise the information suggests a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen, 16GB of on-board storage, and 1GB of memory with an 8 megapixel camera on the back and an 3 megapixel camera on the front. As much as we'd like to see how Honeycomb would run on a device like this, we'll have to wait for the HTC announcements later today. [Engadget]

*Update* - As expected, nothing to see here. just some Tom Foolery.

If HTC comes out with this phone, and its sharp corners. I will eat my hat, and the phone. You heard it here. : - ) = Fake.
Good to hear you up and at it over there. I'm going to bed. Read you in the am. Time now, 1:27am (cst)

Google confirmed "Honeycomb" would not be on phone devices. That only some features would make it to the phones on probably 2.4 Gingerbread or Ice Cream.

I hope it is coming to AT&T and will be out before May because I like HTC skins. Plus their phones are easier to root than the others.
I would love to make this my first Android phone to replace my blackberry with. Now just get out before my renewal on AT&T comes up.

it would be nice, don't get me wrong... but if you read the source comments the device is photoshopped.. htc did announce some beautiful new devices now though!

the phone's that HTC revealed look nice.. the tablet looks beautiful.. at least there's something to look forward to since it looks like this won't be happening :/

HTC would never make a phone with those huge bezels. With a 4.3" screen and those bezels, it would be as big as the streak! FAKE!

Why do people keep saying honeycomb isn't for tablets. Everyone has said that honeycomb will come to phones. Heck, the google engineer that "confirmed" that honeycomb was not meant for phones came back after the blog world blew it up and corrected that the displayed version was not for phones. Now why would he make that clarification (not to mention the two head honchos Duarte and Rubin saying the same thing) if honeycomb was never meant for phones?

If this phone came out, I'd buy it in a heart beat. Sadly, it's not likely to be true for a few reasons. Shape. Size. 1.2Ghz.

Hey HTC, if you aren't going to give us the latest hardware at least show us the latest software!!!No HC on the tablet and still has 2.2 on high end devices. Not cool. Where is the announcement on 2.3 for existing phones??U gotta give us something to work with here HTC. LG''s lineup is looking real good right now.
