There's been no word on US availability, but the HTC Desire & HTC Legend have gotten priced and dated across the pond. eXpansys, a UK retailer, has posted a  £399.99 price for the HTC Legend and a £449.99 price point for the HTC Desire. That roughly translates to $625 and $700 respectively. That ain't cheap. eXpansys also lists April 12th as the date it'll become available. The Desire should be available in the UK through T-Mobile, Orange, O2, and Vodafone. We haven't nailed down a carrier for the Legend.

Amazon Germany actually has the price of the Desire listed at €419 which would make it roughly $570, a much more reasonable starting price point. In the end though, these devices can certainly expected to sell for much less when (and if) they get on a US carrier. $199 is almost always the starting point for new devices, anything lower is a bonus. But if you can't wait to get your hands on the latest Android offerings, be prepared to spend a little paper.

HTC Desire & HTC Legend get priced in the UK, releasing April 12th?

As I said before: Belgium/Netherlands pricing will be 469€ starting delivery from 9 april, according to webshop pdashop.be.

I always thought the radio was easy to distinguish and that told the story as to the carrier. But if the Desire is on tmobile in the UK, there is no chance of using that phone on verizon I assume?

And, if it's an involved process to change the radio... the chances of it coming to verizon are slim? I really hope the Desire comes to vzw... I'd take it over the nexus one. .. but hey.... here's to hoping.

These are prices for unlocked unbranded phones. £450 is normal price for phones like Mororola Milestone and HTC HD2, though you could get a Nexus One for about £430 imported. So no complaint about this price. The legend however with its smaller screen, 600ghz ARM 11 processor and HVGA screen is not worth £400, maybe £300 at best.

The German Amazon price is very good, maybe a mistake in my opinion.

Expansys also have the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 up for pre-order at £590 lol, so will they charge £450 for the X10 mini?.

i dont know what the hype is about a wanna be N1 with a skin (Sense) that will drain your battery quicker, no live wallpapers (most likely), and will probably not see an update until 2011! Google will always make sure the N1 has an update first, so by the time this come out, the N1 will probably be at 2.5 (hopefully)!!!

p.s. all this was said because im praying I didnt jump the gun to quick on getting my N1!!! smh

smggsm.com
is selling the desire for $629 and the HTC Legend for $579!
these are pre-release prices too, so their higher, once the phones are released then the prices will go even lower!
