The Honor 7 is now official in India. The handset will be available for purchase on Flipkart from October 15, retailing for ₹22,999 ($350) for the 16GB variant. The vendor has also introduced the waterproof smartwatch, the Honor Band Z1, in the country for ₹5,499 ($83).
Featuring a fingerprint sensor at the back, a 20MP camera sensor and an aluminium chassis, the Honor 7 offers a great mix of hardware that includes a 5.2-inch Full HD display, Huawei's own HiSilicon Kirin 935 SoC with an octa-core Cortex A53 CPU and Mali-T628 MP4 GPU, 3GB of RAM, 16GB internal memory (no word as yet on the 64GB model), 8MP front shooter, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 4.1, and a 3,100mAh battery. The phone also sports LTE bands for Indian networks, and comes with the latest EMUI 3.1 skin atop Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The Honor Band Z1 comes with an interesting design that's void of any buttons, with Honor mentioning that the design is inspired by "Scandinavian aesthetics." The device offers IP68 protection against dust and water, and can be immersed in up to 10 meters of water. Features include steps, calorie and sleep tracking, call and notification alerts, and a three-day battery life.
With the Moto X Style set to launch in the country later this week and the OnePlus 2 available for ₹24,999 ($380), prospective smartphone buyers certainly have a lot of choice in this segment. Be sure to check out our review of Honor's latest handset:
