Box

Account switching, new folder views and sorting highlight this update.

A new update to Box is bringing several interface improvements to what was previously tired-looking app, including some new features to improve usability. First and most noticeable is a visual refresh to the home screen of the app, which now has an updated slide-in left panel for navigation between folders and access to accounts and settings.

Now that settings are found in that drawer, hitting the overflow menu button gives options to refresh or sort your files, which now offers several more options including by folder name, date and size. Also helping usability is a new thumbnail view with larger previews of files.

Those looking for a more feature-filled Box widget now have that option as well, with a full resizeable version that shows  a scrollable list of file updates for your account and gives options to refresh and add new files right from the widget. This is overall a considerable update, and you can grab your download of the latest version at the Play Store link above.

I am curious why anyone would use the box app rather than using esfile explorer or something similar that gives you local, lan, cloud access so you can easily transfer to and from all without having to switch apps and have all of them installed?
