BLU Products is now selling the BLU Studio Energy smartphone, with a massive 5,000mAh battery, unlocked for $149 on Amazon.com. The smartphone was first announced, along with many other BLU devices, at CES 2015 in January.
The company says that the battery life on the BLU Studio Energy will last for up to four days with standard use, and has up to 45 days of stand-by time. The smartphone can also be used to charge other devices through the use of an included USB OTG cable.
The BLU Studio Energy has a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 720x1280 and is available in black, white and gold colors. Inside there's a Mediatek 6582 quad-core processor with a clock speed of 1.3 GHz, along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, plus a microSD card slot that supports up to 64GB of additional storage. It also has a 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing camera. The smartphone comes with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box, but BLU says they will offer an update to Android 5.0 Lollipop for the device sometime in June.
