Blu, a company known for making budget-friendly devices, has take the wraps off of its latest smartphone, the Pure XL. The phone is a 6-inch beast that packs quite a few high-end specs and an attractive design for the modest price of $350 unlocked.
The Pure XL features a 6-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440, making for a pixel density of 490ppi. Inside of the smartphone, you'll find a 3500mAh battery powering an octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor clocking in at 2GHz, 3GB of RAM, and 64GB of expandable storage. The phone's camera specs are no slouch either, with a 24MP shooter featuring on the backside with phase detection autofocus and 4K recording capabilities, along with an 8MP camera up front. And if dedicated camera buttons are your thing, you'll be happy to know there's one tagging along here as well.
Some of the other notable aspects of the Pure XL are that it sports a fingerprint sensor on the back, as well as support for quick charging. All of this is packed into an aluminum frame measuring a little on the thick side at 9.6mm.
Blu notes that the Pure XL will be available exclusively from Amazon starting on September 29. For color options, you're looking at either gold or grey, with both clocking in at $350. With these specs, it's hard to knock that price, and it looks like Blu is definitely ready to compete on the same field as other similarly-priced flagships, such as the Moto X and OnePlus 2.
