Android Device Manager is a Google app that allows you to track and secure your devices remotely. Depending on the permissions you give Android Device Manager in the Google Settings app, you can remotely track your devices, cause them to ring (even if it was put in silent mode), change the lock code, or completely wipe your devices through this handy little app.

New functions to ring or text your missing device have recently been added so that if someone finds your phone, you can get in touch with them and -threaten- convince them to return the device.

It's an app you hope you never need to use, but luck favors the prepared and it's an app that you should always keep in case of emergencies. It's also good if you have siblings/co-workers/kids that like to hide your phone while you're in the bathroom.

It did not work for me. It keeps saying that my location is unavailable. so i locked and erased. highly upset. i lost a lot of important info

Is there a way to reset the Alternative Password? I have a new phone and don't remember setting it but my Samsung S5 keeps locking up. Android Device Manger is the only way I have been able to unlock it but it will lock again later.

I had STUPIDLY enabled the fingerprint security on my Galaxy 5. Today i ran out of patience as it wasn't recognizing my fingerprint and took me to alternative password. After trying different AP's it said 3 more tries and it was factory resetting. I called Verizon (24 minutes) who told me factory reset was my only option. Thank God I downloaded this app ONE WEEK AGO. I logged in on the computer and changed my lock code. I then went into settings and changed it to swype only to open phone. It appears to be happy now and so am I.

My phone is dead and I lost it. I am currently waiting for someone to turn it on if they have found it. Not knowing what i was doing I clicked enable lock and erase, but i did not realize it would instantly do it when the device is turned on. is there anyway i can disable it? i do not want the content erased!!! :(

Is there a way to fix the "create folder" option on tablet? Because my folders are all grey and white they do not allow me to open them just rename them. I can find any ounce of help and ive been searching for it for a few days now.
