Cricket has announced that beginning on November 6 its customers will be able to purchase the Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 for $149. The smartphone will be available both in-store and online for customers, and this marks the first time it is being sold by a carrier. Featuring a 5.5-inch display, the Idol 3 comes equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 615 processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded with a microSD card.

On the back there is a rather capable 13MP camera and on the front there is an 8MP shooter. Powering it through the day is a 2910mAh battery, and it runs Lollipop out of the box. Not sure if the Idol 3 is for you? Check out our full review of the smartphone here.

Additionally, Cricket has announced that customers on its Smart and Pro plans will gain free roaming in Mexico and Canada in addition to the existing unlimited calling and texting that is already available.
