Woot's one-day sale offers some of the best deals yet on refurbished Amazon devices

You don't have to spend a ton of money to get your hands on great tech. Today only, Woot is offering a few different refurbished Amazon devices at the lowest prices we've seen in months. The retailer is slated to have several different Amazon device offers this week, and this sale marks the start of it. Prime members can also save on an Echo Dot 3rd-Generation Smart Speaker thanks to the same promotion today. Note that Woot charges a $6 shipping fee per order, unless you're a Prime member, so now is a great time to sign up for a free 30-day trial if you're not interested in shipping fees.

While these items are refurbished, that shouldn't scare you away. There may be cosmetic blemishes, however, everything has been thoroughly inspected and tested to ensure that it's in perfect working condition. The items come with a 90-day limited warranty. If you want more protection, there are SquareSpace warranties available that can extend your coverage.

First up, the Amazon Fire HD 8 is up for grabs for just $39.99. That's a match of the best price we've seen for it. The Fire HD 8 features up to 10 hours of mixed use battery life, an 8-inch HD display, a quad-core processor, and hands-free access to Alexa. You can upgrade the storage, too, up to 400GB depending on what microSD card you go with. In addition, the tablet was recently upgraded with Show Mode. This gives your tablet some of the same features that the Echo Show has. You can use your voice to ask Alexa to show you the news or weather, play a song, call a family member, control your smart thermostat, and more.

Next, the Kindle Paperwhite is available in Black or White for $59.99. While that's $5 more than the best price we've shared, that deal hasn't been around in months, so now's a great time to purchase if you're in the market and missed out. If you're an avid reader, you've probably already experienced the frustration of trying to move several boxes of heavy books to a new location. With the Kindle Paperwhite, you can bring over 1,000 books and not worry about their weight. You don't have to worry about its battery life either, as this model of the Paperwhite is capable of letting you read for up to eight weeks without needing to be recharged. Unlike previous iterations of the device, this version has a built-in light, so you'll be able to read in the dark with no trouble at all.
