Verizon introduces new prepaid smartphone and basic phone plans

Verizon Wireless now has five prepaid phone plans to choose from. The wireless carrier announced the new plans, which include two for basic phones and three for smartphones.
The prepaid basic phone plans are:
- $30 per month for unlimited talk, text and mobile web
- $15 per month for 300 voice minutes, texts or multimedia messages (in any combination), plus unlimited mobile web
Verizon's smartphone prepaid plans are:
- $60 per month for unlimited talk and text with 3GB of data
- $45 per month for unlimited talk and text with 1GB of data
- $30 per month for unlimited talk and text with Wi-Fi only access for data
In addition, customers who sign up for Autopay will get an extra 1GB of data if they are using the $45 and $60 smartphone plans. Finally, users who need some extra data can purchase it with the following options:
- $5 for 500MB (good for 30 days)
- $10 for 1GB (good for 90 days)
- $20 for 3GB (good for 90 days)
