While you may be investing in technology to make your home smarter, you may not necessarily be paying as much attention to how tech can make your home more secure. However, Amazon is currently offering Ring Alarm home security systems with 25% off their usual prices, giving you the opportunity to protect your home and its contents for less. The systems come in 5- to 15-piece kits and even bundle in the newest Echo Dot at no additional cost meaning you can save as much as $140. There's no word on how long these deals will last.

The 5-piece Ring Alarm security system just returned to one of its lowest prices in history at Amazon and even comes with a free Echo Dot so you start using your voice to arm and disarm the system. Other configurations also get the same freebie.

The Amazon-owned home security brand is perhaps most well-known for its line of video doorbells, which also work great with its Alarm security systems. Rather than just protecting your front door, Ring Alarm is a whole home security system with a bunch of smarts. Whichever kit you opt for, Ring Alarm comes with the necessary base station and keypad as well as a variety of motion detectors, door and window contact sensors, range extenders, and even smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, depending on which configuration you pick.

The smallest 5-piece Ring Alarm kit is 25% off and includes a window and door contact sensor, range extender and a motion detector for $169. The $179 8-piece kit gives you two additional contact sensors and one additional motion detector. It's usually $60 more than today's price.

Discounts also apply to the 14-piece kit, Smoke & CO kit, and the largest 15-piece Enhanced kit which is down by $90 (not to mention the value of the Echo Dot). That last kit includes the base station, keypad, seven contact sensors, two motion detectors, as well as a range extender, smoke and carbon monoxide sensor, flood and freeze sensor, and even a panic button.

You'll be able to use these systems to get instant alerts for a variety of things including when doors or windows are left open or when the system detects motion in your home. You can monitor it all from your iOS or Android phone or tablet. It's easy to set up, requiring no extra tools or professionals. If you already have other Ring products, they can all communicate with each other and you can continue to add more sensors to your setup over time. You can also use your bundled Echo Dot to easily check or change the status of your alarm. Read more about it in our in-depth review.
