Skype update lets you multitask with picture-in-picture support

Skype for Android has been updated with some notable additions. If you're a multitasker, Skype will now let you continue your video calls when you leave the app with picture-in-picture support for both phones and tablets. Additionally, you can also receive photos when they are sent from iPhone users on the service. Chats will load faster, and Hindu support joins the list of new features.

Here is the full change log:

  • Chats load faster, especially when opened from a notification.
  • Picture in picture view lets you keep a video call going – for phones now too!
  • Receive photos from Skype for iPhone and other new clients.
  • Supports formatted text: bold italic ~strikethrough~
  • Native Support for Hindi – SAHI!
