Save $80 on the Sevenhugs Smart Remote X and control your TV and smart home tech with one device

The Sevenhugs Smart Remote X is down to $219.99 at Best Buy for today only. It usually retails for $300 so today's discount is your chance to score an $80 savings for a limited time on either the black or the white verison. The deal is also available at Best Buy's eBay store.

Having raised over $1 million on Kickstarter in 2016, the remote was released for the general public to buy in late 2018. There are a few universal remotes on the market, but the Sevenhugs Smart Remote X aims to control every device in the room thanks to its infrared, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi tech. It features a 3.4-inch multitouch display that automatically adapts to the device you are about to control simply by being pointed in that device's direction (thanks to included sensors that you can strategically place around your room).

As well as controlling individual devices, you can also use the remote to do multiple things with one touch — turn on the TV, media player and AV receiver, change A/V input, launch Netflix, dim lights and so on. Its battery lasts for a couple of days on a charge, but the included charging dock makes it easy and convenient to keep it powered up when not in use. Last year, Sevenhugs introduced a more affordable Smart Remote U that can control your same smart home devices and media center but lacks the spatial awareness of the Smart Remote X.
