Our favorite phone for parents is still $350 OFF at Amazon, days after the year's biggest holiday sales
The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL is a certified large-screened beast.
Just a few leftover Black Friday phone deals remain, including 29% off the price of the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL at Amazon. The Pixel 10 Pro XL is our favorite Android phone for parents, in no small part due to its powerful range of cameras, its large OLED display, and its huge performance improvements over previous generations. It features a wide camera lens, a telephoto, and an ultrawide lens on the rear, as well as a powerful front-facing camera.
The 10 Pro XL normally retails at $1,200, so keeping an eye out for deals like this is definitely the move. To be sure, this is also the lowest price ever recorded for the phone at Amazon, so it's not a bad pick if you're already in the market for something in the premium price range.
Google Pixel 10 Pro XL: $1,199.00 $849.00 at Amazon
Amazon has chopped $350 off the price of the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL, which is our top pick for the best Android phone for parents. The discount brings this premium-level Pixel phone down to just $850, representing a pretty solid price for the offering.
✅Recommended if: you're looking for a phone with a really powerful set of cameras and access to AI processing features; you want a phone that has built-in Qi2 magnets and Pixelsnap; you'd prefer a phone that can handle gaming and other power-intensive tasks, and you have the budget to pay a premium price tag, even if discounted.
❌Skip this deal if: you're in the U.S. and need to be able to use an eSIM; you need something with top-notch PWM settings; you're looking for industry-leading processing speeds and would rather go with a Qualcomm-backed device.
The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL is a powerhouse, boasting a 6.8-inch Super Actua OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Google Tensor G5 also offers significant performance improvements over previous generations of the Pixel, making for smoother gaming. While it still doesn't quite hold up to some premium-level, Qualcomm-backed phones, it's still a welcome upgrade and it gets multi-tasking help from the 16GB of RAM.
As for cameras, this Pixel has a 50MP main lens, a 48MP ultrawide with macro focus, a 48MP telephoto, and a 42MP selfie cam. It also comes with a 5,200mAh battery, 45W wired fast charging, and Qi2 Pixelsnap wireless magnets built in.
Some of the biggest downsides to the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL are its lack of a SIM card tray in the U.S., some battery throttling, and a PWM rate that isn't suitable for many with sensitive eyes. If these aren't dealbreakers for you, then an $850 price tag is a good opportunity to pick this premium phone up, at the very least.
