Next Issue becomes Texture, brings a new look and a new mission

Next Issue, the magazine publisher-backed app that let you read all of your favorite magazines for a single subscription fee, has been updated with a new name, Texture, and a new look. Soon, Texture will also launch a number of new features in its Android app to make its experience more personal.

While Next Issue focused solely on delivering digital editions of magazines, Texture now focuses on a more curated experience. Though magazines are still central to the service, it will also deliver new content on the article level. Texture will now point you towards the day's highlights and top articles, and offer curated Collections based on your interests. It will also be easier to discover new content.

The Texture app is available as a free download, and the service offers a one-month free trial. After your trial, you can pay $9.99 per month for unlimited access to all available monthly magazines, while $14.99 a month will let you read all weekly publications as well.

You can grab Texture from the Google Play Store now.
