Google Play edition Samsung Galaxy S4 also getting JWR66Y update

Along with the Google Play edition HTC One, it now seems the "stock" Android Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505G) is also getting its over-the-air update to build JWR66Y — a slightly newer version of Android 4.3. The bump from the earlier build JWR66V hit Nexus devices a couple of weeks ago, and includes security updates for the latest iteration of Google's OS.

As always, it may take a few days for the update to arrive on everyone's devices, so patience is advised as Google and Samsung open the latest build up to GPe handsets. If you're seeing it on your phone hit the comments and let us know how you're getting on.

  • Its cool that it is getting updates quick but what I really want is my SD card to read/write again. Posted via my Galaxy S4 Google Edition
  • That seems to be a common problem with SD cards even on other oem's my buddy's LG phone has the same problem and my cousins s3 also. Safest bet is to remove the SD card before you lose any data on it and get the part swapped out. Posted via Android Central App
  • I am guessing it is the card not the phone. Swap those once and see what happens Posted via Android Central App
  • No its a common problem with the 4.3 update. Called Samsung support and the manager on duty said that the read only SD card support was a feature. Posted via my GT-I9505G
