Amazon's brand new Echo Dot with clock is already discounted by $10

Just a few weeks ago Amazon unveiled a bunch of new products during a press event, one of which was a slightly improved Echo Dot that now features an LED display. It's been available to pre-order for $60, but right now you can place an order for one for just $49.99, a discount of $10. If you're looking to expand your smart home even further, you can bundle in Amazon's smart plug for just $5 more making the package price for both items just $54.98.

This hasn't even started shipping (begins October 16), but you can already save on the purchase. Amazon is also offering a package with the smart plug that costs just $5 more, which is a great way to get started with smart home gear for less!

The new Echo Dot with clock is not even shipping yet, in fact it is scheduled to start shipping on October 16 as it stands now. This model is great for a nightstand, desk, or anywhere else you may want to quickly glance down and see what time it is. In addition to displaying the time, the Echo Dot can also show the temperature outside or your current timers, which makes it very useful for even more situations. Currently, Amazon only offers the Sandstone color with the clock.

Of course, the Echo Dot also gives you access to Alexa's vast library of smart features, like the ability to control smart home products, play music from Apple Music, Spotify, and more, as well as answer your questions, set timers, and just about anything else you can think of.

Don't care about the clock? Amazon has the regular 3rd-gen Echo Dot on sale for $39.99 as well, which is a $10 discount. In addition to discounting the new Echo Dot, Amazon has the Echo Show 5 marked down to $65, the Echo Input on sale for $20, and the Echo Plus available for $120.
