Summer is here, the beach is calling, and my favorite Sony Bluetooth speaker is a must-have at less than $80

I live in Seattle, so when the sun's out, I tend to want to take advantage of it. Fortunately, I live next to a beach, and my friends and I love to go whenever we have a free moment. One thing I always take with me during gatherings like this is my Sony Ult Field 1, a small portable Bluetooth speaker with big, booming sound. I always highlight this product during major sales, and Prime Day has discounted it once again, bringing it down to its lowest price.

The Sony Ult Field 1 launched at a fairly reasonable $139.99, which falls in line with many portable Bluetooth speakers. It has gone on sale multiple times, but this most recent 44% discount takes nearly half off, bringing it down to just $78.

I purchased the Sony ULT Field 1 over a year ago, and it's been one of the best Black Friday purchases I've made. Since then, it's been a staple of every beach day or meetup I've gone to. While it's small and easy to carry, the Sony ULT Field 1 is surprisingly loud, producing great sound for any occasion and audible from quite a distance.

That's before you even get to the ULT button. The Field 1 already has decent bass, but when you press the ULT button, the speaker takes it to the next level with the help of the side passive radiators. And while there's no stereo sound on the one speaker, you can pair it with a second Ult Field speaker for a stereo experience, and at this price, you might as well get two.
