The Nexus S is the follow up to the Nexus One, which was the phone designed by Google. The Nexus S differs in design from the Nexus One because this time around it is made by Samsung rather than HTC. It carries a lot of spec improvements, including 16 GB of internal storage (Nexus One sported 512 MB). It has a 4-inch touchscreen, 5 MP camera, 1 GHz Hummingbird processor, and the ability to make VOIP/SIP calls. It will be available from Best Buy and the Carphone Warehouse and will be carried in the US by T-Mobile.
The Samsung Nexus S is the rumored follow-up to Google's Nexus One, which was released in January and made by HTC.
The name could change as well as the look and feel. We've heard everything from Gingerbread to 1.2 GHz and dual-core.
The Nexus One has been so popular because it's one of the only devices to sport 'pure Android' out of the box. It's also the device that has the pleasure of receiving updates first. It may lose the honor of being the only one receiving OTA updates straight out of the gate if this phone turns out to be real. Stay tuned.
