Galaxy S III Flipboard update

Galaxy S III owners starting up Flipboard this morning will notice a new update coming their way, bringing the social magazine app up to version 1.8.4 beta 1 -- the same beta version that started rolling out to testers a couple of days ago. According to the official list of changes, there isn't much new stuff in this initial update, just a couple of bug fixes. Crashes while editing the table of contents or changing the content cache settings should now be remedied, so that's good news if either of those glitches were giving you trouble.

To grab the latest update, which weighs just 2.5MB, simply fire up Flipboard and it should be pushed out automatically.

Don't forget to sign up for the beta on their site if you're not sporting a new SGS3.

Never got the big thing with Flibboard. Tried it on my iPad and ended up just sticking with Pulse, which is what I also use on my razr.

Flipboard isn't all that impressive unless you have lots of time to kill. I prefer News360 to find the stories I'm interested in quickly.

I tried it. Seems like Google Current to me.

I'd love to, but Samsung failed to correctly manufacture my phone.

I did get into the Beta test. I must say this App is really really nice. And the Flipping is very functional & Cool too.

So I wrote the App Dev a nice quick note, on how everything was going, and how much I was liking it. I also told them the first two options I looked for, were not there. And how I would like to see them someday, in an upcoming update. Those two options were: #1- Dark theme, and #2- News source choices (like pulse, but I didn't say that:)

I got a very quick reply (within a few minutes) and this is what I got:

"If you click on the red ribbon there's a news category with lots of news sources that have been specially formatted for our app. There are also lots of other categories there with good content to browse through."

So that part didn't go so well. Though I must add, the sources they do have are pretty good. I would just like to add a few others. Like Android Central Baby!
