If faux leather isn't your thing, how about some crystal

The faux leather effect on the back of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is a step up from the glossy plastic of old, but if you're looking for something a bit more, well blingy, then this might be for you. Samsung has teamed up with Swarovski to bling out the back of the Galaxy Note 3 to within an inch of its life with these crystal encrusted creations.

The limited edition battery doors are available in the three colors seen here; Jet, Crystal Silver and a blend of Crystal Bermuda Blue and Crystal Metallic Light Gold. The partnership has been unveiled at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York.

Before you rush out and buy, there's a couple of details you need to know. First up, the price. This shiny crystal goodness will set you back $299 but is bundled with a matching bracelet. So you and your phone can go out co-ordinated. If that doesn't put you off, you'll need to be around New York City to pick one up, as it's going on sale in the 5th Avenue Swarovski store in Manhattan. Anyone tempted? You'll find the full press release after the break.

Samsung and Swarovski team up to bling out the Galaxy Note 3

LOL, but how many would actually own a GNote 3? I can't believe the number of women (or men) who a) own a Note 3 and b) are actually interested in this. Maybe that is why the price is so high, cos they win only sell about 10 of them!

Touchwiz is part of the note 3. Duct like touchwiz, don't like the note 3. They go together.

I haven't seen Touchwiz on my Note 3 since the first 5 minutes I had it. Put on Next launcher and never looked back!

The biggest problem I have with the Note is that it doesn't fit comfortably into my pants pockets. If you carry your phone in a purse, that's not an issue.

So the ladies like fighting over whose going to where the all white skinny Levis with their male significant other....right

I see more women with Notes than men. Way more. In fact, almost every single time I see a Note in public, it's being used by a woman.

Strange, here it's the opposite. Women here uses either BlackBerry or iDevices. While most men here use the bigger phones.

My device went through hell to send this message.

Agreed. I ALWAYS see women using the larger back to the original Evo and going up to the Note 3.

I would think this would be uncomfortable to hold, that and the crystals would get knocked off through normal wear and tear from going into and out of pockets / purses... whatever...

This type of thing was all the rage (with lesser brands of crystals) about 8 years ago and people paid ven more than this, so this does not surprise me. I don't know how many people are still into it, but I sure as heck know people were paying TONS of money a while back to bling out their phones.

Ooh, pretty! I like the jet and crystal silver. I think this will do well at Fashion Week. And I don't think crystals coming off is a concern with Swarovski. They have a really good reputation with cases and other products, as far as I know.

This is like sticking diamonds onto a the handle of a shovel; to show people how rich and stupid you are.
The body of the Note 3 is practical, but dull; which is fine - because the real action is on the screen.

Awesome A C

I'm in that group of people who

A)Is a female
B)Owns a note3 (and LOVES it)
C)Would absolutely love one of these cases.

The bracelet wouldn't be shabby either. ;)
