Nest started sending out invites to a press event on June 17, where we may get a look at a new product.

Google-owned home automation company Nest is holding an event on June 17. While we aren't sure what Nest may have up its sleeve just yet, it's possible that we may get a look at a brand new product.

Google originally acquired Nest at the beginning of 2014, and we haven't seen anything in the way of new products since. However, the company did snatch up Dropcam several months later, so there's a chance that we could get a look at some sort of home security product at the upcoming event. Alternatively, we could hear more about integration with Google's recently-announced operating system for the Internet of Things, Project Brillo, which Nest helped create.

In any case, what Nest may show off is very much up in the air. Keep it locked here on June 17 for the latest on what Nest is cooking up.
