Mophie, one of the most respected external battery pack suppliers for the iPhone, has finally released their version for the Samsung Galaxy S3. Costing $100, the 2300mAh battery pack and protective case combination promises to double the battery life of your Galaxy S3. It's a good chunk of cash to drop on such an accessory, but having seen one of the prototypes in the flesh at IFA, the quality is undeniable. If you're interested, head on over to the source link below.

For the price you could buy 4 or 5 extended batteries off amazon.
Still its a great option if you want it.
Especially with the storm in the northeast.
Mophie finally realized there are other phones out there other than iPhones.

I wish the media would do so also, all mainstream media does is pimp apple and their apps (for free), never android or what it can really do with their apps and custom ability and multitasking. The world is full of morons I guess and that is why apple is chosen for their dumb down phone.

How is the quality of this phone case/charger vs the other ones that you reviewed? I am slightly interested in it but 100$ is quite a bit when I already have a Mophie Powerstation RED as well as a 5000Mah 2.1 charger I got from monoprice for under 30 bucks. Thanks.

Damn might as well just get a Note 2 with a slim case.

In all honesty though I'm glad to see this come to an Android phone. It looks well made.

These kinds of cases are really important for people who buy phones without removable batteries. I want to thank a respected vendor like Mophie for investing the time and money on creating this accessory but with the price of replaceable batteries this doesn't seem like a good investment. As mentioned above, you can get a half dozen Samsung branded replacement batteries for $100. http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-EB-L1G6LLAGSTA-Galaxy-Standard-Battery/dp/... and they are eligible for Prime shipping...

While Mophie is a highly respectable brand, this case makes an otherwise large phone, even larger. I'll pass on this one.

That appears to be quite a large case, even considering that it is a battery pack as well, and I'd be more inclined to buy the extra battery and charging kit for less than half of the price. It is nice that it is high-quality but the Galaxy S3 is already a pretty large smartphone and that looks like it makes it as big as the Note/Note II.

Strange price when you can get a Droid Razr Maxx HD for $199 on Amazon or at Best Buy, who now price matches Amazon.

My device has an extended battery and with the cover it looks as thick as this mophie but still doesn't look as long as the mophie and is still as lite as without the extended battery and if this cover is as heavy as the one for the iPhone then is not something I would consider, but hey, is good to have options in the market that pushes a brand as good as Samsung GS3.

This is something I don't understand.....the reason for this gadget is bcs you can remove the battery of an iPhone....BUT you can with most android devices. You can actually buy an NFC capable 4000 mAh, with cover for about $30 or so from A......com.

It just seems pointless to buy a cover, that makes your phone longer and thicker and still have to part with $100 for it.

I am glad that they make the option available, but over all it's cheaper to buy an extended battery..

It is bulky but does great job of charging. I own it 2 days and am returning it because I feel it does not protect the very fragile screen. The lip/space above the screen is too low my comfort.

The screen on an s3 is super super super super super strong. It has Gorilla Glass. Theres no need to cover it!!!! I LOVE this product. I have one on my S3.I just bought 1 for my mother's S3,she's a real estate agent and talks on the phone constantly. perfect for her!!! and I am a full time student that uses the hell out of my phone, Nike+ gps, talking, hotspot, etc. and after a full day of classes I need more juice this allows me to not take the phone apart to switch out the battery love it.

call me lazy but I don't like taking apart my phone to put in a new battery this new case works perfect all except for a ride to find a cradle to use the charging port s. Near field communications work perfect battery is perfect the case as a pinch of thickness but other than that that's it. Elegant stylish and functional.
